I have heard from quite a few people that they have checked this blog for news. I'm happy to say there hasn't been too much to report. I have an appointment at the Huntsman Cancer Institute with a CLL specialist on Thursday. They will run their own labs and then evaluate. I am anxious to pick Dr. Gilbert's brain on a few things. Most of all, my age. CLL is diagnosed at the median age of 68, predominately in men. So I want to know what will be different for me being diagnosed so young. After 3 months of stewing about this, I have a lot more questions! I will be having labs drawn and seeing Dr. Te down here on February 2nd too. At that time, we will see if anything has changed and go from there. I'm hoping things haven't changed at all.

I have spent many, many hours researching CLL. It is just a sit back and wait disease. The $64,000 question is how long you wait. Since I can't do anything to fight it right now, the internet is my only weapon. I'm hoping by being educated about it, that I will know what to watch for and be able to fight it better when the time comes.

I will update again after my coming appointments. Until then, I am happy and living just as I always have. Life is good!
